This evening at the beautiful Icehouse Amphitheater in Lexington, SC, the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame proudly inducted Doug Baker into the South Carolina Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame! 🏆
For over 40 years, Doug has been the force behind the curtain — booking legends like James Brown at Fort Jackson, helping bring the Icehouse Amphitheater to life, launching the beloved Thursday Alive concert series, and booking nearly 100 shows at the very venue where tonight's celebration took place. The spotlight was long overdue, and tonight it shined bright. 🌟
The evening featured an electrifying performance by 20 Ride - America's #1 Zac Brown Tribute Band 20 Ride — and a special appearance by fellow Hall of Famer Rob Crosby!
We were honored to be joined by Lexington Mayor Hazel Livingston, along with Hall of Fame member Phil Lister of Dixiana, and the dedicated leaders who make this organization possible: Dr. David Godbold (Founder) and Renee Godbold, Justin Ray Williams (Executive Director), Roy Costner(Chairman), Dendy Brooks (Treasurer), and Chris Lee (Director of Media Relations).
Congratulations, Doug. The industry finally said out loud what so many of us have always known. 👏🎉
